Under the Indian Partnership Act 1932, the government of West Bengal developed an online application for the registration of Partnership firm. This Portal helps the partnership firms to apply the online application form, online payment, tracking of application and the online final certificate.
- This portal contains the application process workflow which helps both the applicant and the department officials to apply and process the application online.
- This Portal enables the immediate notification by both Email and SMS for any action taken by the department officials against the application number submitted by Partnership Firm.
- This Portal enables the transparency between the Applicant and the Department and avoids the direct interaction between the applicant and the department.
The Act
The Societies Registration Act, 1860 (21 of 1860), which came into force on 21 May 1860. After independence in the year 1961 The West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961 passed as Act of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly and came into force by repealing The Societies Registration Act, 1860, The act is accompanied by the West Bengal Societies Registration Rules, 1963. The Indian Partnership Act, 1932 was enacted in India in 1932
The Registrar
During The Societies Registration Act, 1860 it was administered by registrar of Joint Stock companies. With the provisions of both The West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961 ,A registrar of firms’ societies and non trading corporation west Bengal administers the registration of societies and firms and allied services for west Bengal The registrar comes from West Bengal Senior audit & account service.
There is an additional registrar apart from the registrar from West Bengal Senior audit & account service. Presently for society registration and allied services this office only administers for four districts e;g Kolkata, Howrah, N24 parganas and S 24 parganas and other districts have been administers by joint registers For partnership Firm registration this office serve all over West Bengal
